In the hands of a more skilled fiction-author, maybe not. I'm pretty sure I haven't got the chops yet to pull that off, unless the rest of the story (or enough of it anyhow) comes into my head first, before I sit down to try to force it to happen.

I've got a vague story slowly coalescing around some interesting-to-me characters, that I might be able to slip this into if I ever get around to writing that.
