That is about the size of it, and I say that as someone raised to be anti-choice, who vehemently rejected that teaching.

There are in fact a small proportion of modernday throwbacks to old-style eugenics, mostly male, who do in fact believe that fetuses should be, under specific circumstances, aborted against the will of the woman who is carrying that fetus. You saw them come out of the woodwork in re: Trigg Palin, and most sane liberals sidled away and said "eew!" But to pretend there are no pro-abortion people claiming to be pro-choice, especially in the privileged classes, is to feed into exactly the emotional state that feeds the pro-life movement, that there are only 2 sides and all the people on the other side are about controlling and don't care about morality, and 'our' side is about morality (tolerance, rights).
