Yesterday as I was passing one of three or four cemeteries between Catonsville and home, two breaks in an iron fence caught my eye. I know I've been reading certain of my friends' blogs too long, because my first thought was, "Oh crap, there was a zombie escape!"
(My first thought was really the schoolchild joke about why there are fences around cemeteries -- "because people are dying to get in" -- but then I noticed that the fence was pushed outward and my mind steered right for the zombie memes.)
Sorry about the poor quality -- I did not really aim the camera, just waved it in the general direction with the zoom lens set to wide and hoped the autoexposure would pick a fast enough shutter speed to knock out some of the car's motion and I'd get enough of what I wanted in the frame somewhere and just crop out the rest. (If I'd wanted the shot badly enough, I would've found someplace to park and walked back to the site. It didn't seem that important so I just waved the camera at it as I went by.)
I also added a few more photos from yesterday -- composed, shot with the camera steady -- to my Flickr account, including a couple more things I saw while I was out: a "what is that thing?" and a pair of construction cranes left in a position that made me think of somebody wiring them up as chopstick waldoes.
And now I'd better go get ready for the HCB gig tonight...
