He mangled that quote. The full quote looks like this:

"The problem with quotes in the internet is that it's hard to verify their authenticity. Most internet quotations are not accurate."

I was on a fun Twitter thread a while back that consisted entirely of people attributing to Albert Einstein quotes that very obviously weren't.
