Are we absolutely positive, now, that the Republican Party hasn't turned into a vast piece of performance art? This whole campaign cycle seems to have been a loopy deconstruction of the process of getting elected. Now they seem to be trying to see how nutty they have to go to get someone in the Washington press corps to say the Emperor hasn't got any clothes.
