"Teaching physics without calculus or research psychology without statistics is teaching about science rather than teaching science." -- Vi Hart, 2012-11-12 (In a followup tweet responding to somebody's "yes, but" comment, she adds, "If you're teaching physics just for the beauty of it, consider how much of that beauty comes from the beauty of mathematics." And if you're one of the people who don't get the "beauty of math" concept, I very strongly suggest watching a few of her videos on YouTube -- if they don't convince you, they'll at least give you a huge clue about what we mathy people see in math.)

Her flexagons are fantastic. I don't always follow what she says but I love watching the videos.

Newton's Principia makes great reading. And Einstein's own writing about his work is the best explanation I have seen.
