Just to note Glenn, they had repeating rifles in use when the Bill of Rights was written and one of them even had a magazine holding 21 rounds. And just to note, they had hand grenades in the Revolutionary War too. And as far as the judicial recognizing bans on other war devices, well the Supreme Court in 1936 (or 1938?) recognized the 2A right to own such weapons in common military use at the time which is a major part of that decision a lot of gun control advocates who want to ban so called assault rifles want to overlook.
