Last night as I was getting ready for bed, I bent down for some reason and became unable to straighten up again because of lower back pain. :-( I climbed into bed because it was the easiest thing to do (the bed was right there after all), and tried to arrange myself as comfortably as possible. This morning, I'm finding it really difficult to walk. :-( :-( So I'm trying to sit Really Still in my pretty-nice office chair, waiting for the painkillers to take effect about an hour from now (I just took them).
There's a pair of crutches on the ground floor, and they helped me get from the stair to the kitchen (I couldn't use them normally, because swinging them forward with my feet planted was enough to hurt badly, but I can slowly creep forward by moving each crutch in sync with the opposite foot. Egad, what a nuisance). They're counterproductive on the stairs, so I left 'em downstairs and am going to hope I just don't have to move much for a while.
It's going to make going to the Post Office later today Quite Interesting if the drugs aren't enough (and/or if just covering the pain isn't enough to let whatever went sproing fix itself). I have to mail a box of CDs to CD Baby
Man, I'm gonna have to find some stuff to *not* complain about here soon. (It's being that kind of month.)
