Sleepy day, followed by somewhat alert-ish evening, dinner, conversation; not home yet (probably return this coming afternoon); behind on email, LJ, and pretty much all else. Right knee was doing really bizarre and un-fun pain things earlier. Doing a bit better now. About to turn in for the night. Chatted about theology, compartive religion, and holidays with a few different people, which was, I suppose, apropriate for Good Friday.
Realized that if I just start celebrating Orthodox Easter, then most years I can buy my Easter candy at post-Easter markdown prices and still get it before Easter. (I grew up celebrating on the date for Western Easter, and that's still when I think of as Easter, but I usually remember to call Mom to wish her happy Easter on both Western and Orthodox Easter Sundays, just because.) Since I was baptized Greek Orthodox, switching calendars wouldn't even be cheating.
(I'll probably continue marking both dates. Just as I try to keep track of New Year's Day in as many calendars as I can.)
