There was a dream, mostly forgotten by now, that had something to do with a large silver fish with black spots on it. I think the fish was stalking me and [livejournal.com profile] anniemal because it wanted to eat [livejournal.com profile] anniemal. I don't remember whether [livejournal.com profile] syntonic_comma was in peril or not. I might be mixing up two dreams, but in at least one dream something was chasing us and in at least one dream there was a silver fish with black spots. I think [livejournal.com profile] anniemal killed the fish, cooked it, and ate it, which seemed fitting turnabout. But that wasn't the dream that was worth blogging.

I next dreamt that I woke up and blogged the first dream.

Then, half an hour or an hour later, I half-woke, fell back asleep, and dreamt that I had logged in to check whether the dream about posting the first dream here had been a dream or not.

That was the more vivid dream remembered when I woke for real.

Back when I used to play Tetris a lot (and later a 3-D game with the same theme), I used to dream of falling blocks that I had to nudge into place. For a while many years ago, I dreamt of Othello boards. My freshman year of college I occasionally had dreams filled with lines of ForTran that I had to rearrange.

But the last time I remember being chased by seafood was the recurring nightmare in my childhood about being chased around a decaying castle by a half-eaten giant crab.

"Democracy isn't something you can bring to any society. It has to come from the society itself. People have to want it. It takes time until people understand what democracy is all about. A democratic country bombing the hell out of them to bring them democracy is not going to work, as is shown in the current situation in Iraq." -- [livejournal.com profile] maeglin_speaks 2004-11-03
