Merry Christmas to folks on the Julian Calendar! (I know that includes Russian Orthodox, at least.)
(If I've got it right, all Orthodox churches use the Julian calendar for determining the date of Easter, but for Christmas some use the Gregorian calendar and others use the Julian calendar ... have I got that right?)
And for folks who celebrate on the Gregorian calendar, we'll pretend that Christmas ran a little long this year so that we don't have to think of this weekend's various "12th Night" events as being late, eh?
While making breakfast, the phrase "intercranial pressure" popped into my brain, and I started pondering what excuse could make the phrase make sense. I've decided: intercranial pressure is what results when a strategy meeting that started with the suggestion, "let's put our heads together on this," becomes stressful.
The other idea I came up with involved siamese twins, but I decided Iwouldn't be able to find as many excuses to use that. And the Three Stooges image that I had seemed too contrived. (Then again, it'd be clearer for not being figurative...)
