"The first thing you should know when you call hardware stores in NYC to see if they have axes, is that all of them, without exception, will ask you who you are planning on killing.

"The second thing you should know is that after you pick up the axe, you will have no problems finding a seat on the subway."

eftychia: My face, wearing black beret, with guitar neck in corner of frame (pw34)

After the Homespun Ceilidh Band performance, I went to Bowie to visit my mother (after learning that my brother and his wife were there, not nearby in Gaithersburg as I'd expected. It turned out that my sister was around too, so it was a nearly full house: Mom, siblings, nephews, niece, sister-in-law -- everyone but my sister's huband.

After an afternoon that unexpectedly turned into a project (oy, I am so very tired as a result), Chinese food was ordered.

Breaking open his fortune cookie, my nephew exclaimed at finding a note inside, and asked his father whether it was mail.

It was declared to indeed be mail. So now we have c-mail, cookie-mail!
