I'm thinking about how to phrase Petya's point without throwing trans women under the bus. I remember seeing a similar statement in discussions of bathroom bills (a closely related malarkey) -- while it is more than sufficient reason to oppose them that they legalize victimization of trans people, in addition, they're going to result in the additional negative consequence of 'false positives' against cis people. In sum, even *more* horribleness than anticipated.
