"Things that did not cause Trump's awful policy decisions: His weight, height, diet, combover, being 'crazy' or 'senile' Things that caused Trump's awful policy decisions: Racism, Misogyny, Homophobia, Corruption, Generally being a loathsome selfish egomaniacal asshole
"His appearance is a lazy, pointless shot to take at him. Trying to justify his actions by declaring him mentally unsound is both deeply ableist and a way of dodging the problems of capitalism and structural oppression/privilege. So knock it off."

I am, myself, mentally ill. I am not qualified to be president, because I do not have the necessary resilience and ability to take care of business that the job requires. It's not oppression to realize that my illness makes me unfit for the office of president, it's realism. There are things I can't do, and since POTUS is one of the most stressful jobs in the world, MOST people aren't up to it.
I agree with the part about not focusing on Trump's appearance, though; calling him things like "The Orange One" makes it sound as if his biggest problem is having a fake tan.

And Mari Brighe might want to take a second thought about complaining about others using the language of mental health to criticize Trump's capacity for the job, while in the same breath calling him "egomaniacal".

A leader's physical appearance is unlikely to lead them to make a terrible decision, but paranoia, compulsion, or delusion could easily play a major role in the choices they make.
The strategy for countering a cold and calculating racist's plans is pretty different than the one for countering an impulsive and unfocused racist.
