"[W]e're rapidly getting to the point where the government can easily control people simply by revoking their access to money. We still use cash, but eventually probably we won't, and once we get to that point I guarantee you some bright spark will propose "hey, when people break the law, or don't show up to parole hearings, or fail to answer summons, or whatever, why not just turn all their shit off? That'll FORCE them to come and surrender themselves, they literally won't be able to buy a crust of bread! Hell, we can automate the whole thing." -- Murc, Lawyers, Guns, and Money, comments [thanks to

This is flying entirely under the radar of the mainstream, but I've been tracking stories of people in the adult industries – not necessarily sex workers doing illegal things, but people performing in or selling legal porn, e.g. or even social networking that allows sexually explicit content – who have had their access to credit card processing and banking shut off. Dreamwidth, itself, had this problem, because it refuses to censor fanfic.
The extent to which this has been going on is truly shocking. Nobody much cares because it's just perverts and whores.

Sorry to be a hardass, but five minutes of googling reveals that the Daily Stormer was having no obvious trouble getting credit card processing services as of April, because there was a kerfluffle that their credit card contributors might be revealed in subpoena.
I am talking about the USDHS secretly pressuring credit card processors and banks to drop customers, so the customers don't necessarily even know why their accounts were terminated. If the US DHS is doing this to the alt-right, that is interesting news and pretty fucking surprising given who the goddamned president is.
So can you back that up?
