Six months or so before Trump was elected -- back when we all thought there was NO chance that he could be elected -- I read a Star Trek fan fiction story where Kirk and Spock investigate to see when the Mirror universe split off from the regular one. They traced it to the election of 2016, when Trump was elected in the Mirror universe.

So that space army he wants? It's going to be the foundation of the Terran Empire -- y'know, the one where people are punished with agonizers, and people get promoted by assassinating their superiors?

How did we end up in the Mirror Universe, and how do we get back?!
