Unfortunately, it's easily understood: if these people were
as smart as those they despised, they wouldn't despise them.
(Another way of putting it is that they are jealous & too
stupid to understand just whose fault it is that they are
jealous)

I never understood why smart kids were taught not to show off their smarts to not make the dumb kids feel bad, but the jocks were never taught not to show off their strength to not make the wimps feel bad.
