For your possible amusement, Charles Babbage's grand-nephew is also named Charles Babbage, and is living in Portland, where he sometimes gives talks about his grand-uncle.

Speaking of Hunting the Wren, the alternate lyrics by Les Barker are likely relevant to your interests.
