I had the pleasure of attending a talk given by a college student who heard voices. Initially they put her down and told her she was stupid and going to flunk. So she called them out and demanded that if they were so damn interested in her academic progress, they could step up and make themselves useful. So... they did. They helped her with her homework, and even occasionally told her the answers on tests.
