2)the main problem as I see it, is that Canada has 3 liberal parties(liberal, NDP, and green), and one conservative, with the Québécoise acting as the swing vote. :3

The main problem with that line of argument is that the Liberal party isn't (they're centre-right at best these days and economically neoconservative), the Green party are only liberal on environmental issues, inasmuch as you can peg environmentalism as a "left" position (they are fiscal conservatives and have a strong social-authoritarian streak), and of the major parties, the Bloc Quebecois are our most strongly traditionally leftist party.
