"[Tomi Lahren] is basically taking all of the xenophobia of Latin Christianity in the 11th c. and adding in a dose of ethnonationalist 'oh and fuck other Christians too if they aren't 'murican,' something that wouldn't have worked in medieval Europe where nationalism didn't exist. So in that way, I'd argue it's even worse: it moves the level of who you treat as human several more steps closer to just self, that only people who are like you in your country with that citizenry deserve Christian charity.
