I like how this is phrased.

I still have a hard time believing that Christianity was hijacked by cruelty, or at least that that hijacking happened recently -- I think as soon as Christianity gained majority power it became susceptible to cruelty, maybe even before. When one thinks God is on one's side that gives one such license to do as one wishes. But I was raised in a different denomination that Catholicism.
