I think he's right, but unfortunately, I'm not sure these are good things. I see so many people who insist on things that are just not true because they set what they want to be true above what is.

I was about to say that exact same thing. Trump and his supporters value imagination, myth, and dreams over knowledge, history, and facts, and look where THAT has gotten us.

But then, the dream of the world of the Federation revealed in Star Trek's original series helps to keep me going.

I guess like any tool, imagination and myth can be used for good or evil...
