"Indoctrination in X trains you to question everything but X.
You've got a way too nice an idea of indoctrination.
In most cases, likely in almost all cases, indoctrination trains the subject to not question anything, which is understandable because one question may likely lead to a second and third question, which, given enough time could lead to questioning the indoctrination and even the reason for the indoctrination.
One would expect that 'high level' indoctrination would also give pat/canned 'answers' to formula 'questions' that require only regurgitation, not thinking, to respond with if/when an outsider confronts the indoctrinee.
