"My 5yo apparently plays 'Kingdoms and Castles', which I realised when I came upon him sitting at the computer muttering about tax rates and how he needed to build a clinic in case of plague and wtf is happening

"'He's telling me I need more stockpiles but I DON'T NEED MORE STOCKPILES! I have enough wood!' he just shouted

"'I had to build a tavern, which is where people drink beer and get drunk,' he just whispered to me. 'If I don't, they get sad for some reason.'

"[...] it ended when he had to go to bed. But I woke up this morning to the 5yo and the 8yo climbing into my bed and starting to argue about how you know when your tax rate is too high so [shrug emoji]"

This sounds like my kids playing iCivics. They struggle with the way green issues are pitted against healthcare and income equity issues in the game.
