"t is the nature of science that answers automatically pose new and more subtle questions." -- Isaac Asimov (b. circa 1920-01-02[], d. 1992-04-06), The Wellsprings of Life, 1960
[] Wikipedia quotes from In Memory Yet Green: "The date of my birth, as I celebrate it, was January 2, 1920. It could not have been later than that. It might, however, have been earlier. Allowing for the uncertainties of the times, of the lack of records, of the Jewish and Julian calendars, it might have been as early as October 4, 1919. There is, however, no way of finding out. My parents were always uncertain and it really doesn't matter. I celebrate January 2, 1920, so let it be."

Asimov was one of my early fav autors and i fondly remember reading a huge number of his fiction works. Somewhere around here, i still have the books i could scrape up money to buy. The rest i borrowed from a local library.
I didn't know that about Asimov's birth simply b/c i rarely, in the early days, read anything besides the story.
