How cute!
Does Joe Kassabian think the RWNJs purporting themselves to be 'conservatives' have actually read Orwell (or much of anything else) and !thought! about it?
They heard someone say "Orwell/1984/whatever ... blah blah blah ?" and are parroting it.
They're being used by the few thinking RW Puppet Masters of whom the best that can be said is that they're evil.

I had a social media encounter with someone who claimed that Orwell would have been against "antifa". Given his literal fighting against literal Fascism in the Spanish Civil War, that seems...unlikely.

For anyone who hasn't read 1984, it's about a society where there's a screen in everyone's house that broadcasts messages from the country's leader, and they're not allowed to turn it off.


The situation is Orwellian in the sense that Trump walks on two legs, though.
