Look just a step or two back from the issue - - - What's different now from 1918, when the flu raged? What's different from more recent, similar events?
One decidedly major item is different. Our foods stuff.
Check out the infusion of GMO foods. Check out the proliferation of pesticides and herbicides being used on our foods. Check out so-called "factory farming" and their usage of antibiotics and other chemicals. What has all this done besides increasing profits for companies/corporations using and selling these things?
What has all this done to our individual and collective HEALTH?
It may be that CoVid-19 is more infectious and deadly, but it also may be that we are, on average, much less healthy and nature is taking this event to point it out to those who might be looking for insight?
Another serious thing to look into is how have social norms changed? A more cooperative society would social distance and actively use the other mitigation protocols. It's obvious from a brief watch of the news that this whole thing has been greatly politicized, suggesting that previous social norms have been trashed, and we know who's responsible for that. One of the main jobs of a President is leadership and we've had only poor to bad leadership for the last four years.
One suggestion i read also points to rather direct effects due to Global Warming/Climate Change. Yes, i think it has a significant effect. Don't argue with me about this, learn and see where the facts take you.
-=- end of part 'preface' -=- ← that's (sorta) a joke.
