No longer is this an issue about access to life-saving health care; legislation that focuses on trans Americans is a 'wedge issue' that reflects America's polarization.

Absolutely true. I read these bills can I can't imagine how people can't imagine the results of inflicting thse horrors on actual people until I remember the framing which deliberately discourages thinking about the effects on actual people.
