Theologically, I have trouble understanding why Christians would get upset at anyone (whether Romans, Jews, or Judas) for killing Christ. Christ's death and resurrection is one of the most important pieces of the entire Christian faith. If no one had killed Christ there would be no Christianity. Pontius Pilate plays a crucial role in the miracle of Christ. The villains must do their work in Christ's story, just as Star Wars wouldn't be worth watching without Darth Vader and the Emperor.
