However, by their own rules, a trans-boy on HR replacement is fine for participation in the girls sports as long as he is FAAB and registered that way with the school. Given that it would not surprise me that changing a child's gender in the school records is frowned upon, the trans-boy will probably still be 'female' in the records and everything is fine.

It is fine for Michael Phelps to have excess testosterone and do better at swimming than other men, but a female with extra Testosterone OR too little estrogen or progesterone is wrong. Heck, I get called 'sir' reasonably frequently, even when I happen to be in a skirt, I guess I would be subject to investigation if I had any sports talent aside from riding (and that is all genders in the same competition both horse AND rider).
Research i've seen suggests there's no correlation between levels of testosterone and athletic performance. Suspected conclusion: Once again, actual science is being ignored or used to support unsupportable ideology?
