"It's funny how recognizing AI art nowadays is just the same old rules as recognizing the fae in old tales.

"'Count the fingers, count the knuckles, count the teeth, check the shadows...'

"... and under NO circumstances should you make deals with their kind."

And do NOT consume anything they offer you, lest you be trapped in their realm forever!

It makes sense, though!

They have vast wells of power at their fingertips, and can perform feats that no human could match.

However, they don't actually understand the world we inhabit. Instead, at best, they can approximate it through their own occult perceptions, and thus their works can be detected by spotting the discontinuity between their abilities and their understanding -- that people in our world generally are symmetrical, look different from one another rather than converging on a common ideal, have shadows that actually related to our physical form, have four limbs and 5 fingers and toes on each hand and foot unless they've lost something, and are generally one thing or another, rather than an unlikely literally twisted blend between two or more things.
