Slept a lot Saturday evening, which I needed, but then have not been able to get back to sleep since, partly undoing that good. Feh. Not going to 3LF tonight -- if I'm marginally well enough to (unlikely) I'd better save up my spoons (to the extent that's possible) to try for HCB Wednesday. Currently still too dizzy when upright despite feeling a little better than Saturday.

Feeling noticably less stressed just from knowing I have bread, milk, chees, & peanut butter in the house again; am grateful to [info] lynsaurus for the help on that front. (And to others who would've done it if she hadn't said yes first.)

Finally got around to watching Craig Ferguson's interview of Archbishop Desmond Tutu from about a month ago. Fascinating. I think it's the worst job I've seen Ferguson do as an interviewer (seemed a little intimidated, a little unsure of how much himself to allow himself to be (Hey, Mr. Ferguson: Tutu said yes to being on your show, so he knew you were worth being interviewed by!)), and it was still good enough to entertain me and impress several reviewers (and me) -- he's good. Haven't watched Tutu on telly before, so don't know whether he's usually that cheerful, relaxed, and cute, or if that was a reaction to Ferguson.

Circus left town last night, somewhat noisily (not really amazingly loud, but truck and tow-truck sounds at regular intervals all night, which seemed to perturb Perrine more than it bothered me).

Did program VCRs Saturday afternoon before I fell asleep, so I got Saturday evening shows, but forgot that this was the weekend that the VCR using old Daylight Silliness Time rules would set itself forward, so missed some of the Sunday morning political talk shows. Grrr. Yah, still manage to get annoyed at Daylight Spending Time.

Ten hours sleep woul be more effective if not followed by thirty two hours awake. Feh.

Perrine wants me to chase her, but I'm in no shape to do more than token gesture in that direction ... fortunately, she seems willing to pretend I'm moving faster than I am (and farther), so as long as I manage to get out of bed and strike the "I'm a monster and I'm going to get you" pose[*] and take a couple steps in her direction, she counts it as playing with her. Not doing that quite often enough, but she seems happy when I do.

Poked at QotD queue a little between attempts to fall asleep -- about all I had attention span for. Gonna go close my eyes and try again now. Insomnia annoys me.

[*] Lean slightly forward, arms straight up, wrists bent forward. Same pose kittens use when trying to monster each other. Roar or "I'm a cat-eating monster" speech optional -- she only seems to notice the gesture/posture.

Sorry about your insomnia. I've been having similar problems lately. Spring, who needs it?

We returned from FilkOntario yesterday & I have a bottle of the Good Stuff for you. Unfortunately, it doesn't come without caffeine.

Our cat Vir has met a dog exactly twice in his life, both times at the vet's office with the dogs safely restrained. Only once did the dog bark.
But his favorite game is for me to (at least pretend to) chase him while making assorted dog noises. Unlike with Perrine, the soundtrack isn't optional; Vir seems to enjoy that as much as the chasing.
