Sheepie's not the only one that has trouble breathing this air. I often wind up gasping for air by the time I make it from parking lot to place-of-work, because I've been trying to hold my breath the entire way. The air feels nasty in my lungs. :(
The air hasn't been feeling actively nasty in my lungs as I breathe it lately, just soupy and a little difficult to get in and out. It's just than after I've been out in it for a while, my chest feels heavy and I'm not getting as much air in and out (much like what Sheepie was complaining about). If it felt as nasty to me as it does to you, that'd probably be a useful warning not to stay out long enough for it to make my chest all messed up.
Actually, even if I stay home, my lungs have been in a steady really-low-grade athsma situation lately. It's worse after I've been out, but it's probably not going to be completely right for a while. *sigh*
