It's certainly plausible that the back problem is related to the accident; get it checked ASAP. For what it's worth, I was once in an accident that seemed minor at the time (I got jolted and the car was somewhat smooshed, but I walked and then drove away). About two hours later my upper back and neck completely seized up. Fortunately, I was within walking distance of my doctor's office when it happened; I don't think I would have been safe to drive. His conclusion was that it was a delayed effect from the accident. (Fortunately, he did some high-tech equivalent of a massage to unkink everything and gave me some drugs, and there was no permanent damage.)
