I've got a radio, but it only picks up useless stations (mostly). The phenomenon is gone now. At first, I was thinking smoke, but the only way it'd be in all directions would be if it were drifting in from a huge forest fire or something elsewhere, and I hadn't heard of anything big enough for that. (And I hadn't heard the sirens that would've accompanied anything local.)

Or that it's something obscure required to complete a "collect the whole set of types of weather in one day" challenge that Maryland is competing in.

And to think that my mother used to tease me for looking out the window before answering when she asked me what colour the sky was...
