Happy No Pants Day

Other folks have been enthusiastic about spreading the Cheese Weasel Day meme, so I figure I ought to do my part to spread a holiday I only just heard about: No Pants Day, the first Friday in May (which means this year it's today). "When large groups of people parade around in public without their pants, amazing things are bound to happen. At the very least, you'll take your drab, wretched life a little less seriously, at least for one day." (From the "What is it?" page, which also clarifies that they mean the North American meaning of "pants" (trousers), not the British meaning.)

Why are you stressed?

By the way, can you forward me information (time/place performance details) about Sunday again? I seem to have misplaced the e-mail; I might have friends coming by so I want to give them more accurate information.

On top of the usual money worries, I finally got an assignment for work (for the first time in two months) -- which is itself a good thing -- but it arrived in the middle of two weeks of frequent headaches and really poor sleep, so I've been freaking out about getting it finished in time, and this afternoon both my Windows machines crashed (I so badly need more RAM) and set me back a couple of hours on finishing that. Mix in some other stuff on my to-do list I've been procrastinating due to not feeling well, and one of my doctors not renewing my prescription for a drug I'm almost out of when I tried to get it refilled, and stir. Garnish with my task for tomorrow (wedding photography), which I'm actually quite looking forward to, but which is a stress situation despite how much fun it is, 'cause it's one of those "MUST get it RIGHT" things. The result, a heaping mound of stress with a flaky, golden crust, and sprinkles on top.

I'll email you the location/directions info about Sunday as soon as I have a chance to look it up again. I think there's a link to the event site on Eowyn's 3LF page. We're scheduled for 12:30 and 15:30.

(BTW, I chickened out on properly observing "No Pants Day" -- just wearing a skirt doesn't count, according to their FAQ -- but I did think about it.)
