Where will you be camping? I'll be with Polyhymnia (a subdivision of Debatable Lands) in N10, Cariadoc's between Brewers and Chandlers. Please come visit!
I got a giggle out of your cat-feeding woes. I predict that she will become more willing to take food from you once you have a few positive experiences under your belt. A little tuna makes up for a lot of jalopino, for example. :-)
Except that I don't usually have bits of leftover tuna handy to give her, being a vegetarian ... (Let's see whether she's interested in licking the cottage cheese tub I just emptied.)
I'm camping with Caer Edgemere, just downhill from the corner of Brewer's Road and Howard's Fenway. (Uh, E15, IIRC -- I'll have to go look at the map again.) We're usually the last camp on the right before the tree line as you walk downhill on Brewer's. Across the street from Mountain Confederation and next door to Clan Cambion.
Which reminds me -- I still haven't made up a batch of Pennsic calling cards with that info on 'em for this year.
When I give her dairy I only give her a tiny amount, 'cause I'm not sure whether cheese does the same thing as milk either.
I'm hoping the calling cards catch on. The idea came from the twin frustrations of not being able to remember the directions to someone else's camp four hours after they'd told me, and having to find something to scribble a note on to tell someone where to find me when I stopped at their camp to say hello and found them gone. Then it hit me: these problems were each solved a long, long time ago, by the calling card and the business card!
Oh wow. The hold music for my pharmacy is playing an instrumental version of "Makin' Whoopee" with a tuba carrying the melody and all the accompaniment being high, tinkly instruments.

Re: Pennsic
Cats lose their tolerance for milk as they get older (learned this the hard way recently). Cheese might still be ok, though; haven't tried.
Pennsic calling cards -- what a great idea!
