On projects and tools

Every so often I find myself thinking, "Gee, it'd be nice to tackle a project where step #1 wasn't 'First, make my tools'." But today it was, "Step #0: Harvest the raw materials to make one of my tools." Urk.

Spending the afternoon in No. VA, dealing with trying to make my car driveable-ish again so I can take it somelace else without having to pay for a tow. (Dropped off the truck I drove home from Pennsic a couple of hours ago.)

It is fun to make my tools, yes, but it really doesn't have to be every single project, y'know?
