How about adding them to your friends list at least temporarily - that way you can see their entries in whatever style you use for your friends list, which should allow you to post a comment. At least I think it would work - I've never encountered the problem, so I can't test it...
They're already on my friends list, so I see their posts in the style I've chosen for my friends list, but when I try to read comments or post a comment, the entry is displayed in the style they've chosen for their journal.
First, I found the FAQ that says I can manually add "&s2id=1" to the end of the post-comment URL to force it to be displayed in a "generic" style. *whew* An annoyance, but a workaround.
Second, earlier today I hit another user's journal in the same style from a different machine with a different sized browser window, and the corner of the submit button was peeking out from under the text-input field for the comment! So the button isn't missing, it's covered up because it's placed in the wrong spot on the screen. (Now to see whether I can make sense of the code to figure out why it's being stuck in the wrong place.)
I had the same problem leaving a comment to an article on Other Magazine's (http://www.othermag.org) web site. I wonder whether it's for the same reason.
have you tried this?
