He and Xopher moved to Pennsylvania a few years ago. Clay went through some notable changes in the years since this question, but he remained irascible, exasperating, bright, very funny, highly quotable, and a devotee of good food, dogs, and the Orthodox Church. Clay was diagnosed with endstage cancer in autumn of 2009, and he passed away in January of 2010. If anyone is reading this, I direct them to a Facebook memorial page for him. Some of his old Usenet compadres are to be found there, as well as RL dear ones and new Web pals.
