Have you ever thought of trying to make a few extra bucks tutoring students? Junior high or even high school level. Good private tutors are hard to find and paid really well and you amke your own hours, usually meeting a kid once or twice a week for an hour at a time. I spent three years doing private tutoring in algebra, an hour a day twice a week. You might consider asking at the high school if they might need someone or even know of how you could get started. Just a thought...
you are VERY good at this btw - remember me? I never even realized I'd been MISTAUGHT math until you retaught me (everything was blamed on the LD's - by me as well as other)
now I at least know that I like math and have LD based problems with arithmetic - a very different place to be
