Have you ever thought of trying to make a few extra bucks tutoring students? Junior high or even high school level. Good private tutors are hard to find and paid really well and you amke your own hours, usually meeting a kid once or twice a week for an hour at a time. I spent three years doing private tutoring in algebra, an hour a day twice a week. You might consider asking at the high school if they might need someone or even know of how you could get started.
