Baltimore does seem to go gung-ho for this "rockets' red glare/The bombs bursting in air" stuff. I remember Independence Day, they started a day early, and kept shooting off things for days after.
The west side of town seems to be less gung-ho than the east side (we only got ladyfingers and cherrybombs before and after Independence Day, as far as I can recal), but yeah, this town does seem to love the arial explosives.
