Cats are very comforting, and I'm glad you have one to be with.

Several years ago I had a broken leg (I won't say "I broke my leg", because I had very little to do with it), and the cats (then kittens) just seemed to know that I needed some extra comfort and attention. It was great! (Especially NYE when it was way too icy to hazard an attempt at a party -- even if I had gotten a ride (not hard), I couldn't do the sidewalk at my then-current level of crutch proficiency.)

*nod* I'm glad I've got her too. And she is more likely to spend extra time on my bed if I'm feeling sick, but she also paces and glares at me to remind me to go to bed when I'm feeling well but she wants a nap.

When my head hurt so badly I was whimpering audibly, she curled up near my face instead of my shins, and I swear she looked visibly worried.
