Yah, my cell phone can send SMS (Short Message Service) messages to any email address, and LiveJournal has post-by-email, so ... It was easier from my old AT&T phone because that one could send proper emails -- ostensibly any length, in practice there was a point at which the phone would crash -- instead of these 200-byte SMS messages. LiveJournal didn't have post-by-email back then, but I set up a Procmail rule so that anything sent to myself from my cell phone with a particular keyword in the subject would get piped through 'clive' to be posted.
Of course part of the challenge is seeing how much of my message I can key in before the light turns green. And another part is making sure I say what I meant to say in 200 characters.
