1.Used a pay phone? A couple of weeks ago, owing to the fact I don't own a cell phone, but then again, neither do I get out much. 2.Washed all your dishes by hand? That depends on how you define "all," I guess. There's still a pile of dishes in the sink waiting for me to wash them (by hand), so I haven't washed *all* the dishes in quite a while, but I did was dishes by hand (as always) yesterday. 3.Rode public transportation that wasn't a subway (i.e. the bus)? Today. I don't drive. 4.Made popcorn not in a microwave? And what device did you use? A little more than a year ago. I don't eat popcorn all that often. David and I used his parents' air-popper. I don't own any such apparatus, and I can't eat most microwave popcorn. 5.Played an LP? Bought an LP? Saw an LP? Played: A couple of years ago. Bought: Probably 10 years ago or so, maybe longer. Saw: Two weeks ago when I was at my parents' house; they have lots of them, 78s even. 6.Used a rotary phone? Saw a rotary phone? Two weeks ago when I was at my parents' house for both. They have one rotary phone left, hanging on the desk in the den (it's an old wall model). I own a touch-tone phone of similar vintage (an old Nortel) and colour (necrotic flesh). 7.Changed channels without a remote? I don't recall. I don't watch much television, so even if I had, I probably wouldn't remember. 8.Had a watch that actually required winding? About 10 years ago. 9.Had a gas station attendant pump your gas? Probably one of the last times I ever drove a car, which would be five or six years ago now. 10.Used an electric typewriter? A manual one? Saw a manual one? Electric typewriter: 1989, Grade IX typing class. Manual typewriter, used: 1995. Manual typewriter, saw: 2001, just before I gave it away before moving away from Toronto.
