Two observations and a statement:

  1. Command-W and command-Q are very similar hand motions.
  2. The iCab web browser has neither an "Are you sure you want to quit?" dialog nor a "Start from where you left off last time" option.
  3. I had not finished bookmarking the pages I wanted to quote from and journal entries I wanted to post comments to before my hand slipped.
*grumble* %pout%

(Oh wait, correction -- there is a "confirm on exit" option in the preferences, but it wasn't turned on by default. Okay, this information will help next time ... *sigh*)

Yah, same reason I had to find and turn on the confirm-exit function in Emacs. Control-X control-C? What were they thinking?

Control C/ Control V -- copy the old copy right into the new corrected text -- even if it's wrong.

I did that to a long email I had composed offline.
