Yup. You can read that ellipsis as "... so apparently someone decided to surprise me with a gift, unless there's some bizarre mixup someplace".

I've got a guess as to what it might be. But they didn't specify a timeframe for the next delivery attempt, so I don't know whether they're coming back before I leave the house this afternoon. Now that I know something is coming, I hope I don't have to wait until next week to find out what it is.

Don't they have a box you can check to leave the package with a neighbor? Or isn't there anyone home?
