And if anyone knows how to tell Procmail not to read /etc/procmailrc (I didn't see a flag for that on the man page), please let me know.

AIUI it doesn't read /etc/procmailrc if you specify an rc file on the command line.

*ding*ding*ding* Bingo! Thank you. With this information things are not quite as convenient as they'll be once things are properly fixed, but it's a huge improvement over half an hour ago. The last 18 hours worth of mail have now been sorted into the proper folders.
