The water taxi incident made the news here in Boston too. kinda sacry. But maybe they weren't reporting how many people were okay or on the taxi because they didn't know and didn't want the grief they would get if they reported falsely.
They were speaking that information, just not listing it on the bottom of the screen. So no matter when you tuned in you saw the dead/missing/injured numbers, but had to wait for the reporter to get around to mentioning it again to hear how many were okay.
